After rural service (2yrs) & serving three govt. dental colleges of the state for their academic & infrastructural development got superannuated in Feb ’23. Out of 41 years of teaching he served Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College & Hospital for 35yrs in different capacities which include Prof. HOD & PG teacher. He was also Prof & HOD in North Bengal Dental college and Principal of Burdwan Dental College & Hosp. He was external examiner and paper setter for UG & PG of quite a good number of Universities of the country. He delivers lecture throughout the country on Endodontics.

Apart from being an academician par excellence, he is also a renowned clinician. In addition to his own clinic, he is a consultant of AMRI for its inception. He is the first to treat patients with hard tissue laser (Er, Cr:YSGG) in Eastern India. He has keen interest on research that of Regenerative Endodontics intending to replace age old RCT involving tissue engineering, is appreciated in the country & abroad. He was President of INDIAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION, WB STATE; WB DENTAL SERVICES ASSOCIATION; Vice President of Indian Association Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and organised several state and national level conferences as it’s organising secretary/ Chairman Scientific/Organising Chairman etc. He was also Editor Jr of Indian Dental Association WB chapter.

He is practicing dentistry RCT, different RESTORATION, CROWN, BRIDGE, DENTURE, IMPLANT Intra oral Dental surgeries etc since 1984. He has 100 publication s in high impact peer reviewed journals. He carries a social responsibility of running GOCHARAN KRISHNA MEMORIAL CHARITABLE DENTAL CLINIC at Belpukur, South 24 parganas WB, since 2001 after the demise of his father.
