Dr. Bhaskar Ray Chaudhuri, MS (Gold Medalist), DO (AMU), Fellow, Cornea & Anterior Segment, LVPEI, Hyderabad. He was trained in Cornea and Anterior Segment Diseases at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and has a rich experience of over 25 years. He specializes in Cataract Surgery (including sophisticated intra-ocular implants like Toric and Multifocal lenses), corneal transplants and Eye Banking, Keratoconus, corneal collagen cross-linking, Ocular Surface diseases, Corneal Stem Cell Transplantation and surface reconstruction, Dry Eye Diseases, and Glaucoma.

Dr. Ray Chaudhuri is an avid researcher and innovator. He has two awarded patents to his credit and two others applied for. He has a rich experience in embedded software development for ophthalmic devices. He is the inventor of AMserter (a sutureless amniotic membrane inserter) which is a game changer device for acute burns of the eye and Stevens Johnson Syndrome. This invention is now manufactured by Aurolab Trust. He is also the inventor of BRC Accumark – a marking system for Toric IOL implantation which also has been patented and is commercially available. He co-owns a startup which assimilates all his work (DoubleHelix Enterprises LLP). He is currently working on a translational dry eye diagnostic device and has an ongoing research project on Keratoprosthesis (artificial cornea).

He has numerous presentations in conferences and publications in indexed journals. He has been awarded the best paper award in Cataract segment from AIOS-Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology International Conference, the Dr. B K Mitra Best Paper Award from Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal, and the Dr. G S Dash best paper for Innovation from Eastern India Zonal Ophthalmological Congress. He runs several instruction courses in the AIOS national conferences.
