AM Medical Centre Pvt. Ltd., formerly known as AMRI Medical Centre, has been a trusted name in day care medical services since its establishment in 2002. Initially set up as a Centre of Excellence for Eye and ENT care, the institution quickly expanded its service offerings and built a reputation for accessible, ethical, and technology-driven healthcare across Eastern India.

On 12th April 2021, the organisation was re-established under its new identity, marking the beginning of a modernized and growth-oriented phase as AM Medical Centre Pvt. Ltd. The Centre officially opened to the public in its renewed form on 16th February 2023, ushering in a new era of patient-focused outpatient care and day care medical services.

Over the years, AM Medical Centre has evolved into a leading multi-specialty day care provider, offering a wide range of services including ophthalmology, dental care, ENT, general medicine, preventive health check-ups, diagnostic investigations, and minimally invasive day care surgeries. In 2008, the Centre became the first recognized IVF service provider in Eastern India, equipped with an advanced Cryobank — a milestone that brought hope to countless couples.

Driven by the mission to bring quality healthcare closer to people, we have steadily expanded our network. In 2020, we opened our Kankurgachi branch, followed by Kasba in 2022, and Ballygunge in 2024, extending our reach across key areas of Kolkata. In the same year, we ventured into the Northeast with our branch in Agartala, Tripura, and in 2025, we further expanded with the opening of our fully operational centre in Aizawl, Mizoram.

Across all our centres, AM Medical Centre maintains consistent clinical standards, modern infrastructure, and a highly experienced team of consultants and paramedical professionals. Each facility is designed for day care treatments and outpatient convenience, allowing patients to receive high-quality care without prolonged hospital stays.

In addition to delivering excellent clinical services, AM Medical Centre is committed to promoting health awareness and continuous learning. We regularly organize public education drives and Continued Medical Education (CME) programs to ensure that both patients and medical professionals remain informed and updated.

Sri R. S. Goenka is an entrepreneur, Co-founder, and chairman of The EMAMI Group, a diversified business conglomerate engaged in the business of FMCG, paper, real estate, edible oil, bio-diesel, healthcare, pharma-retail chains, books & leisure retail stores and contemporary art.

Other than being an entrepreneur, industrialist & philanthropist, his vision for finesse and excellence has enabled him to replicate one of the state of art daycare, pathology & diagnostic centre.

He created his vision by probing through different avenues of procurement thereby fabricating one of the best centres of international standards crafted for daycare facilities where patients do not have to undergo hospitalisation for minor procedures.

With his blessings and support, we have multiple centres under highly qualified specialised doctors nurses & staffs, who are not only adept in operating the state of art tools, additionally, they continuously upskill themselves with regular training and coaching in order to deliver supervisor work to their patients.

Dr. Moon Chattaraj the face of AM Medical Center is endowned with gold medal as an university topper.

She has almost 2 decades of experience in Implants and Aesthetic Dentistry.

A well acclaimed dentist for her excellent clinical skills and she expertises in handling critical patients with medical problems ailing teeth issues.

Her vision for finesse and excellence has made our AM Dental department one of the leading dental and maxillofacial unit in India.

Her emphasis on patients comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancement in dentistry enable her to provide patients with the best quality and care in the field.

Professional Qualifications:

  • BDS from S.D.M dental, Dharwad (Rajiv Gandhi University).
  • Fellowship in Implant dentistry (a mini residential program from Lisbon, Malo clinic).
  • MDS in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Implantology from Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences.
  • Fellowship program in aesthetic dentistry.
  • ⁠Fellow and Diplomat of international Congress of Oral Implantology.

Clinical Practice:

2009-2011 – She worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial registrar in Apollo Clinic, kolkata.

2011-2014 – Consultant and center incharge of Apollo Clinic (Chennai,Bangalore, Kolkata)
She was also attached to North city Hospital, Puspanjali Hospital, Vishudanandh Charitable Hospital and Medstar Clinic.

2013 – Worked as a course director and official lecturer with noble biocare, Eastern India. She is also an official lecturer of Zimmer, CWM and ifix implant companies.

2014 – She joined as a HOD of Amri group of Hospital.

2016 – Owner of Amri dental chain, lab, skin in partnership with Emami. Owner and lead practioner for dental and skin Clinic with Dr. William Chong (Pacific health care)

2017 – Assistant director of K.I.D.S

2021 – She took over Amri medical center with pathology, diagnostic, multiple dental units,dental labs, IVF centers.

2022 – She took over and gave a revamped look to AMC and now it’s named as AM Medical Centre.

Mr. Kanad Maitra

Mr. Kanad Maitra has 25 years of experience in the areas of Process Improvement as well as Project Planning & Execution with reputed organisations in UK, Australia and India. He is proficient in a customer-centric and systems-driven approach to design business solutions to find the best-fit solution to the customer’s pain areas and deliver value-additions. He has been involved in various capacities that include Project Manager, Management Consultant, Process Improvement Consultant, Business Analyst, Technical Lead etc.

He in his career has executed projects to successful completion across various domains including Mobility Solutions, Infrastructure, Logistics, Sales & Distribution, Telecommunication, Healthcare, Retail and Education.

Business Process consulting accomplishments in the Australian perspective include successful projects undertaken across the public as well as private sector. While the public sector encompasses local, state and federal level organisations the private sector includes varied domains like GE ANZ, Vodafone, Asciano, Queensland University and TransGrid. Have also undertaken an extensive process mapping exercise for US Consulate Kolkata spanning various domains like Procurement, Finance, Mail Room, Shipping, HR, Maintenance, Housing, Travel and Community Liaison.

Other major assignments include system implementation for large UK corporates like British Telecom, Royal Mail, Tesco, Lloyds TSB Bank, University College London Hospital, B&Q, Dixons, Focus among others. Long running assignments include maintaining systems like Cattle Management MIS for UK Government Animal Husbandry Department as well background data systems for Telecoms Consulting Organisations in UK.

Indian experience entails responsibility for notably managing the implementation of multiple projects through the SAHAJ Portal(sahaj.co.in) which reached rural India through the 12000 Common Service Centres in 6 states of India as part of the National e-Governance Plan of India as well as engagement as Project Management Consultant to Indian Institute of Management Calcutta(IIMC).

Dr. Abhirup Maulik

Dr. Abhirup Maulik did his medical graduation from Calcutta National Medical College in the year 1993, post-graduation in Orthopaedics from Calcutta University in the year 2000. He has also completed his AFIH from RLI, Mumbai in 2006. He is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working with Woodland Hospitals, AMRI Hospitals – Dhakuria from 2001. Presently he is the chief of Health Check-up at Woodland group of Hospitals. Presently he is the medical director of AM Medical Centre.

Arpita Dasgupta has 19 years of extensive experience in Customer Care management. She graduated from the University of Calcutta with a degree in commerce along with MBA is Operations Management. She has implemented the processes, practices, systems and applications that a company uses to manage its relationships with existing clientele and with new prospects. She has an ability to organize and coordinate her team members to execute tasks against a common goal. Her job involves a broad range of duties intending to oversee, enhance, and preserve superior client encounters along with managing escalations and complex cases, tracking team performance metrics, implementing technology and tools, working with other departments, budgeting, resource allocation, and fostering a customer-centric culture in the organisation.

She plays a crucial part in ensuring that AM Medical Centre upholds high standards of medical care with appropriate patient handling, cultivates patient loyalty and Retention.

Rituparna Bagchi

Rituparna Bagchi is a seasoned HR professional with ten years of experience in  the HR Domain. She graduated from the University of Calcutta with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree and from West Bengal University of Technology with an MBA degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. She is the epitome of strategy, employee advocacy, and leadership. She acts as a link between the goals of the business and its most precious resource, its employees. Her primary areas of experience are in the following areas: Talent acquisition & retention, using analytics and HR metrics; Employee Development and Training: Employee Relations and Welfare; Compliance and Legal concerns.
